We have all heard that ‘A little knowledge is a dangerous thing’. Yet all of us at some point have entertained the belief of having completely understood something even when we are just new to the subject.
This false confidence that we gain when we hear about a new idea is self-limiting. It’s mostly just the tip of an iceberg. It stops one from learning more and prevents one from reaching the level of true understanding.
